Dry Body Brush
Dry brushing will help shed dead skin cells resulting in smoother and brighter skin. It also stimulates blood circulation and lymphatic drainage.
The ideal time to use the dry brush is in the morning before showering because this will automatically boost your body with a sense of energy. After you rinse off, slather on a moisturizer to seal in all of your hard work.
Dry brushing 2 x weekly will enhance the health of your skin and provide you with a noticeable glowing complexion. Dry brushing will also improve muscle tone, decrease stress, energize the body, enhance metabolism, remove toxins, improve circulation, and diminishes the appearance of cellulite.
*WE VALUE SELF CARE: If anything, dry brushing encourages you to take a moment and focus on your body. Even if aesthetically there's no life-changing improvement, feeling good about the body you live in is always a goal worth achieving.
To dry-brush properly: First make sure your skin is completely dry.
Apply medium pressure so that you can feel the movement, but not scratch the skin.
Always dry brush towards your heart to help get the lymph moving upward. Starting at your ankle, move your brush over your skin in long, circular motions that go in the direction of your heart. Move along each limb on its own, repeating strokes 2-3 times on both the front and the back of the legs. Do the same for each arm, beginning at the wrist and moving upward towards the neck. For the stomach, use light circular, clockwise motions ( always moving upwards) Repeat 3-4 times at a slow-to-moderate pace.
Once legs, stomach, and arms are done; start at the jaw line and very lightly move down toward the chest- towards the heart. Repeat strokes 2-3 times on each side.
*Don't forget to wash your brush with baby shampoo at least twice a month to get rid of all of that dead skin buildup.
*Experts recommend changing your dry brush every 5 months.
